Summer Shift 2017
Uh Oh, Volcano?!
Summer Shift 2017: Uh Oh, Volcano?!
You don't need to own an Isomara to participate in this event
Start: June 18th, 2017
Ended: 11:59 pm on July 31st
Backstory:As the months turn into years time causes things to change. Just recently and underwater volcano shook the seas and erupted. Thic volcanoes eruption caused a new landmass to appear just a few miles away from the Isomara Island.
Much curiosity ran through the Isomara's brains. They all wanted to go see what the new island was like. Isomara from all across the island began to pac knapsacks for their trip, but before any could set off Slayer, the tour Guide, urged them to only make a short visit there as she was unsure if it was safe.
Information & Rules:
This event comes in two parts. The first part will be traveling to the island. Not all Isomara can make a voyage that far. Once your Isomara has successfully made it to the island you can commence part two which will be venturing through the unknown landscape.
You must successfully complete part 1 to move onto part 2
Your Isomara needs at least five (5) in either stat (fight and/or flight) to make it to the new island aka to successfully complete part 1
Carmen and Frio are not able to be used in this event as they must watch over the daycare.
You may use as many Isomara as you want in both parts, however, you may only use Isomara that were in part one for part two
Isolings cannot participate in this event
If you do not own an Isomara you may participate, but must use one of the NPC Isomara below:

Draw your Isomara(s) and/or any of the NPC's above making the trip to the newly spotted island. Do they choose to swim across the ocean or fly through the clouds up in the sky? Do they bring any rations or tools with them? Or do you think they should go empty handed?
TIP: The higher the stats of the Isomara(s) the easier it will be to make it to the island.
If you would rather write a story the minimum word count for part 1 is 500 words. Make sure to describe how the Isomara are getting there.
You may draw as many of your Isomara/NPC's in the picture. The more the merrier. Once drawn submit your entry into the Event Folder. All Part one entries will be rolled to see if the Isomara make it to the island.
If you get a response saying those ismara have successfully made it to the island you can now move onto part 2.

You see the island is not very large, maybe 1/10th the size of the original home island, but you do notice things are somewhat different. Draw your Isomara venturing through this new landscape. What do they see? Is it different than home, or does this Island have similar biomes. Are there any interesting landmarks and features?
If you would rather write a story the minimum word count for part 2 is 1,000 words. Make sure to describe some scenery/environment.
The Isomara whom completed part 1 can be used in part two. Draw the Isomara (you do not have to draw all the ones you used in part 1) searching the new land. Once submitted into the Event Folder your entry will be rolled to see if your Isomara discovers anything new or old. Let's hope they have some good eye seight to spot some goodies.

Make the distanceThe eruption of the new land just in view of the Island the Isomara species called their native home struck out so clearly with the bellowing smoke of the volcano that word reached all inhabitants almost all within the same day, and by nature fear of the unknowing crossed all at first, only to soon be replaced with an intense curiosity after the mood settled down. The destination was a reachable distance away from the terrain they were familiar with; but the crashing waves of the ocean and island clouds up above proved difficult for some to pass through. Even with the challenges at hand; determinations ran strong, and flocks of the bravest dragons were soon laying foot on the new ground that had been created from the depths below. Everyone who travelled over thankfully made their ways safely back, only encouraging more and more of the society to visit this strange, oddly resourceful place. When word eventually reached one of the rogues of the homeland she took her stance at the beach,

New discoveriesMinutes felt like hours manoeuvring the chilling depths of the ocean as Ricochet pushed on to reach the unknown lands across the stretch; the obscured time not dealing the tiring Isomara any good in estimating how far she needed to go before she should surface to the beast that was the volcanic new land. Without having contact to much of anyone on the island, the female had little to no idea of what to expect when she would reach solid ground again – if she managed to make it to the island. Their species were partially aquatic, but the dragons had no access to handy lungs; pressuring the Iso to surface even harder the further along she swam. The water was growing so warm… she tried to peel open her eyes wider to focus in on what could be awaiting in front of her- only to be suddenly struck in the face by a passing equally-as-confused fish which sent oxygen bubbles to escape from her jaws as she unexpectedly recoiled, thrashing her limbs to finally fight her way up to breach
